Sinalco Rosso is a Red Orange soft drink with a very special orange flower aroma.
The blood orange belongs to the family of the citrus fruits (Citrus sinensis), which probably originated from China. Today, it is cultivated mainly in Italy, Spain, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia.
The light to blood-red fruit received the name because of its red interior. Because of its tart, fresh and strong flavour, it is traditionally used as jam or syrup. It is also used in refreshing beverages, milk products, sweet goods and ice cream.
It is said that the blood orange can contribute, due to its pectin content, to the lowering of cholesterol. The red colour Anthocyn is part of secondary plant ingredients and is said to prevent cardiovascular disease. It is also extremely rich in vitamin C, iron and the minerals phosphorus. Iron for example, is part of the red blood corpuscles and therefore important for the oxigen transport.
